FAQs

Q?

How does the designing process work?

A.

Email a short description on what you want to have done to your ring or jewellery piece, we will send you a free estimated quote. If you are then still interested in making an appointment you can come in for a more detailed consultation.

Q?

Should I pay a deposit

A.

Before any work is done, 3D CAD designing, printing of wax models, or sizing of rings, the client must sign off on the quotation by paying a 50% deposit. After the work is done, the other outstanding 50% must be paid on the day of handover.

Q?

Can I change my mind after the wax model has been printed?

A.

After we have designed the jewellery piece and have given you some  options, you decide on the final one, the piece is then printed in resin  so that you can see the item before it is cast in metal, to insure that  there are no misunderstandings between the Designer and the client.  If you want to make changes after the item has been printed, you will  be charged accordingly.

Q?

How long does the manufacturing take after the deposit is paid

A.

14 working days, depending on material available from suppliers.  (weekends and public holidays are not included)

Q?

Warrantee?

A.

We insure that your jewellery item is made from the best material  and with the best skills and quality, but we can’t guarantee how you  treat your ring once it leaves our premises.  If anything out of the ordinary happens to your ring like bumping it  against a wall, or dropping it on the floor and a stone falls out, we  can’t take responsibility for your actions. Jewellery items must be  handled with care, they can get hurt very easily with everyday  actions.  It's your responsibility to have your ring checked once a year to make  sure your setting is still secure.

Q?

Will my ring scratch?

A.

Normal day to day wear can be expected for any precious metals,  they are not scratch resistant. Taking your jewellery item off while  doing hard labour and chores is best for the longevity of your ring.  (see jewellery cleaning and care)

Q?

My ring does not fit anymore…

A.

Over time peoples ring sizes can change and finger sizes can go down  or up dew to certain circumstances.  Most precious metals can be easily resized, like Platinum, Gold and  Silver, but the Contemporary metals like Tungsten, Ceramic and  Titanium can’t be sized, you will have to order a new ring.

Q?

I want to sell my ring

A.

Many people divorce, need money or just want to get rid of old gold,  we will buy your old gold, but only for 70% of what the gold is worth.  We don’t sell and buy jewellery to make profit, we are not a second  hand jewellery shop, we will send it to a metal refinery to have the  metal cleaned, to use it in new projects.  If you want to sell your jewellery item, for what you think its worth, go  on OLX, bid or buy or go to a pawn shop.

Q?

What can I clean my jewellery with?

A.

Most jewellery can be cleaned at home but sometimes, a delicate item might require specialist cleaning to avoid damage. To help keep your jewellery in excellent condition, we recommend that you schedule a cleaning every year. It is also important to regularly check your jewellery for signs of damage or wear and tear. If you find any, get it fixed as soon as possible.
